Gripper 115 w/ Sony DCR-SR45
Gripper 115 w/ Sony DCR-SR45
Ok, first off the Gripper 115 is a must have for the frequent meet and MINI rally. It is perfect for in car video. It is very sturdy, well made piece. Fits both digital cameras and video cameras. It uses the vaccum suction cup to keep it in place and it works like a charm. My camera weighs about 3 to 4 pounds and the Gripper holds it perfectly. I bought mine from Filmtools.com.

Next, my new Sony is great! I love the sound quality, 5.1, I can get from it and the picture is most definintly a step up from my previous Cannon. It has a 30gb HDD and I also utilize a 2gb PRO duo mem stick. I have only used it for a little while today while driving around and would say this is a great camera for use with beginners to intermediate camera users looking to start in the video/camera world. It doesnt shoot the greatest still photos, but they aren't bad. I have a Sony 8.1 Digital anyways.
Well thats my setup. I love the Gripper though. It is a cost effective way to secure your expensive piece of equipment while driving spirited through a road course or town. Ease of mind, and I am able to focus on my driving more rather than worrying about my camera falling over. My video will be posted soon...
Here are some pictures of my setup.
