Ronal R38 - 17x7.5, et35...will they fit?

Hi All,

Sorry to throw up another "will they fit" thread, but I'm really hoping somebody can provide some insight that I've not yet been able to dig up.

I like the simple, clean look on Ronal's R38 wheels, and they're only available in size 17"x7.5" with an offset of +35. While I'd love to push the wheels out a little further to fill the wells more than stock, I'm worried that these might be too aggressive to run on my 2008 Cooper S with the desired rubber. I'm hoping to put up 215/45/17 tires, and I'll be running at stock height for the foreseeable future.

Can anyone speak to whether or not these will fit?

Thanks

I would think they would fit fine, I am looking at going with Tomason TN1 17x8 with a 35mm offset and have been told with stock suspension it should be fine. The only thing I would think is that a 205 instead of a 215 might be better if you are concerned with rubbing.

Thanks a lot for the quick response- good to hear I should be pretty safe here. I'm kinda stuck with 215/45-17 tires as I already bought the rubber (found an awesome deal on eBay for a set of Nitto Neogens and couldn't pass them up for the price). Hopefully they won't pose a problem with the more aggressive offset.

I've seen Ronal wheels on eBay but haven't seen any specific retailer in the states. Now that the ronalusa.com homepage won't load for me, I'm not certain there are any other possibilities to be found.

I believe that Ronal closed off the warehouse in the US a while ago.

Well, I bit the bullet and ordered a set of R38's on eBay. Got a screaming deal...now it's just a matter of hoping they accommodate the 14mm lug bolt and my TPMS sensors...

Once I actually get them mounted I'll throw up pictures for anyone that's interested. In the meantime- how many people are running aftermarket wheels without TPMS units in them? I'm leaning towards going that route when these come in.
