I have come across a supplier for cotton fabric printed with MINIs.The MINI's are various models and colors on a cream, teal blue or yellow background.If someone wants to email me ( racerkoi@wildblue.net )I will reply with some pictures they can post here...I don't pretend to know how to do this ("nor do I need to learn how"-John McCain).

Anyway, my wife is considering purchasing about 100 or so yards for her business if there is enough interest (see www.christiescollections.biz ) for sewing into shirts, aprons, lap robes, pillows, purses, etc. The bad news is that the fabric comes in at about $9 a yard (including shipping) and they don't yet have a fabric with Classic Minis, but I'm working on them. Since a shirt takes about 3 yards and requires about 3 hours work the cost would be $50 per shirt.

Believe it or not, anybody who has looked into custom auto-oriented "hawaiian-type" shirts can tell you that is cheap. We're having a dozen yards airmailed from the supplier just to have 4 various sized shirts ready for the All British Field Meet in Portland on Labor Day. All other shirts will be custom-made to order. She will ask for the actual measurements from your favorite shirt and make your MINI shirt to match those measurements. For that matter she could "custom" make a shirt for you to pick up at the end-of-day (3 pm) Sunday at ABFM after we show them off as samples.

My question: Is there enough MINI interest for her to pursue this?
