AC Schnitzer Tune

So I was reading the latest issue of Eurotuner and it says that a software upgrade is available from ACS that makes 226hp for the R56 Cooper S. I looked at the ACS website but couldnt find any info.

Anybody here heard of this yet?

It sounds like a bold claim, and im sure itd be expensive.

They have a package for the R53 that puts that to 222HP range. Like you said though not anything for the R56.

Thats interesting, I wonder if its a flash, and where can I get it? hmmm... 226hp @5500 rpm, sounds nice, I bet it would be a pretty solid tune too

51 hp gain at the crank?

This must be not just a flash...must include a "package" like exhaust, intake, tune or something.

BUT..........if its just a flash/tune...sign me up!

I'm pretty sure 98 RON is equivalent to about 93 Octane here in the US....

Again, that is not the same as 95 and 98 octane in the US.

It's their equivalent of our Premium (91 or 93 octane).

Also remember canned tunes arent all that theyre worked up to be .
Would love to see some real results from this tune, considering no one's been capable of cracking the r56's ECU.

The ECU has been 'cracked' and there are companies out there doing DME flashes already. It may take some time for tuners to learn how best to use them but they are out there.

I wouldnt call it cracked, correct me if I'm wrong. But i dont beleive anyone has gotten full control over it.
