I just realized that Factory aero kit (not JCW) comes with arches painted... is that something new for the 09??? WIsh they did that for JCW aero kit for 08... oh well...

 

Nope, not new, that was a feature with the 2008 aero kit (not JCW though cause its dealer or port add on), at least on the configurator in April, May, and June when I was first looking, cant vouch to before that.

 

oh ya? ididnt even know... better value for factory aero since they paint your arches in that case....

 

The first time that showed up in the U.S. configurator was in late April I think, and those cars just started coming in recently (saw my first one at a dealer lot this week). I don't think that it was a factory option prior to that.

 

In another thread my brother's Clubman S arrived today with the factory aero kit and the arches are NOT painted.

Maybe on the coupe and not the clubman?

 

I think color coding the wheel arches on cars equipped with the factory aero kit began with Week 27 builds.
