Well, I took delivery of VolperCooper exactly one month ago and I have to say I am thoroughly enjoying this car. Since I purchased it, I have added 18" wheels and tires, Quicksilver exhaust, tinted windows and Recaro seats. My future plans are to add harnesses, cold air intake, pulley, header, coilover suspension, etc., etc. It never ends!!! I am extremely happy with the car and have recommended them to many people. I find people are usually skeptical at first but then change their tune after they sit in it and experience a drive. Here are some pics of the current configuration:

man...I'm dying to do the seats. But I think I need to go with the Sparco Milanos, they look like they have the most room for us "husky" guys.

Ken - love those wheels. Saw your car back during the Bucks County meet...nice ride!

I've been told to steer away from the Corbeaus. I'm just afraid the Recaros might be too tight for me.

volper cooper I like yoour twin turbo, I assume that is yours. My dad has an 02 twin turbo that really needs to be lowered and needs those wheels. What kind of performance enhancement did gemballa do? or was it purely visual? I like the cooper too, once again nice choice with the wheels.

So the Recaros trump Sparcos? I'm new to the game as far stuff like seats and wheels go (although learning alot from certain peeps that like the deep dish look...)

The price on those Recaros is pretty good...and yes, I need to shed a few pounds.

      dandp,
Regarding the Recaros, since the frames are steel wire, I would bet you could spread (bend) the bolsters outward to give you a little more seat room. FYI, Recaros are the OEM for Porsche as well.

      itsthedirtybird,
red speaks the truth. It was also lowered with Bilstein PSS-9 coilovers and also has a rollbar. Frightening is not a strong enough word. The bodywork prep and installation was done by a close friend and myself.

Ken - are those Recaros adjustable (recline / allow rear entry)?

ooops - checked the site again, explains what I needed to know.

Was the install difficult as far as disabling the airbag light?

        dan,
Fully adjustable with fore/aft and recline. Fore/aft is done by pulling a bar up that runs along the entire front of the seat beneath it. Rake is adjusted by the large rubber coated ***** on either side of each seat.

        dan,
I purchased 4 ohm resisters for the airbag harnesses. I was told to disconnect the battery, touch the two battery leads together to reset, install the resisters and reconnect the battery. This will supposedly eliminate the airbag light. The hardest part of the installation was the brackets. The way the bolt holes are positioned, it takes forever to bolt them in.

        Red,
        I am deeply hurt.
