anyone running a 3" catback on thier mini s, im looking into having a shop custom biuld me one? would i gain or lose anything doing it?

PS its an 04 mcs with . unichip, 16%pulley, milltek header, ddm CAI, colder plugs, and current milltek catback

Lots of noise and no bottom end. Come to think of it the top end was not there either. I have one for sale if you want it. But it bolts to a OBX . Ran it for 5 days and off it came.

 

well see i put a resonator on the milltek and now i want it louder, i put a post on our local, okmini forum but no one wants to trade lol aftermarket for aftermarket.

if i didnt lose any power id still be game for the muffler shop to custom biuld mine, i figured it might also make it a little lower, im just afraid id sound like a civic

 

Yeah dont do it a three inch exaust is really not needed unless your moving over 6.0L or over 500 hp and the only reason you need it then is to get the heat out of the motor. ask mini corsa about it. im postitive he ran a 3in and hated how loud and pointless it was.
Theres a reason why most aftermarket is at 2.5 inch.
