I'm still a noob so I could be wrong, but I think I saw a few people recently who said they ordered at the beginning of June and were expecting them around October.

It depends on when your dealer's allocation is. We ordered 5/31/08 but our ordered couldn't be keyed till 6/09. We are Prod week 28, which means we should have our car by the end of August or early Sept. I think it all depends on how many allocations your dealer gets each week or month.

If your asking how long it actually takes to build the car itself, my build started on a Tuesday and was completed the following Tuesday. So 8 days.

It really depends on the dealers allocation and location. I ordered on March 16th and picking up next Saturday, June 28th. Quite a long time, the dealers on the west coast take longer.

If you have more than one dealer in your area, you need to check each dealer's allocation of the particular model you want to buy.

I just lucked out big time. I ordered my Clubman S from MINI of Annapolis on May 26th and took delivery yesterday, June 20. So my total wait time was only 25 days! But I understand a nearby dealer has run out of allocation dates for the Clubman and can't deliver any until October.

My production day is June 23rd. The dealer told me that I should have the car within 4-6 weeks from that day. So thats end of June to first week of August. I am in Southampton, NY ....Is this realistic , or a fantasy date??

Your build starts next week. At the end of the week,
it's shipped to Southhampton and waits for its ship.
Sometimes, your Mini waits a week for its ship. Mine did.
Add 11 days in-transit to the east cost.
My Clubman was delivered to me 10 days after the ship docked.

Put the first week of August in your brain for delivery to you.
Add a week or two if you're west coast.

If you visit the Mini Owners Lounge too often, you'll cry every time you hear that terrible music.

Pete, what state are you in?
I logged into MiniUSA every morning.
My office Admin asked me to do it with her watching every day.
She'd hum the tune in the background. She liked that masochism.
The Pavlov's dog idea fits here.
Even now, 5 weeks after I have my Clubman, I still log in, just to see...At Dealer!!!!
Buy some micro rags at Sprawl-mart to clean the wheels. The brake dust is awful. Really! I told you.

The MiniUSA site is out of date by about 4 days, so your Mini may be moving far before you know it! Good Luck! Been there, cried alot. The second you see your Mini at the dealer is like the birth of a child -or- the day you adopted a dog or cat.

You'll learn about W&W or K-Line soon!
Let me know if you need any info on those. No regrets about my Clubman. I like it every time I use the Comfort Access to enter and start!

I live in NY-Long Island, and I have read about brake dust . Is it possible to change to ceramic pads?? Is this the solution?
Have a great Sunday
