M7 Strut Tower Brace Torque

I'm planning to change the oil in the MINI tomorrow, but I have the m7 STB. I'd like to remove it and get it out of my way, but I can't remember the torque settings.(for when I replace it) I searched the forum but didn't have much luck. Can anyone enlighten me? Thank you.

This has me thinking...

I didn't have a torque wrench when i first installed my brace. Now that I have the torque wrench, I plan on getting everything suitably tight.

However...

I have pre-existing mushrooming on the left tower. I don't think it's severe, but I definitely couldn't seat the nuts evenly. If I were to try to torque them now, what are the chances that I'd strip the threads?

If I were you I would get the special BMW mushroom correction tools and take care of it before you try to just tighten down the screws to flatten the tops out. The threads will not be up to the task and could strip. You can get the special tools at any home depot A section of 2/4 and the biggest hammer you own will take care of it . Feel free to give me a call if you have further questions .

Actually it depends a lot on body color . For example Dark Silver responds best to Oak while the lighter colors can go with a nice Pine
