Koni ?'s. Differences? Ready to buy..

I have been looking at getting this setup for my '03 MCS. Just sold my gas sucking Ford Bronco and I have some cash to get parts for my mini.

Koni Yellow's
Lowering springs (not sure on brand)
Rear sway bar (also unsure on brand/size)
IE fixed camber plates.

But I am looking on different web pages and I see alot of Koni options..
I see that Koni has adjustable shocks, FSD shocks and Koni sport (kit?)

What is the Diff? What should I get? I plan to get a lowering performance springs. Probably lower an average of an inch. I drive the car everyday to work and very twisty roads on the weekends. I dont plan to Auto X the car all the time. Maybe a few times just for fun. I really dont think I will need coil overs. I dont plan to adjust the height.

I have been looking at Mini Corsa for the parts and pieces. I think I would want to order everything and then drive up and get it all and check out the shop.

The FSD's are Frequency Selective Dampning, good with factory springs, not so much with aftermarket. The sport kit is Koni Yellows, which are adjustable, with a matched set of springs. I've heard mixed reviews on the Koni springs. Most popular seems to be either Hotchkis or TSW. I'd say the TSW stuff because it's a linear rate which a lot claim is a much better ride and it's maybe 7/8in. total drop. Match that with either a 19 or 22mm bar and the plates and you'll be good to go. Well, minus decent tires...

So if I got the TSW springs would the stock shocks be ok?

If I was to replace the shocks, would the Koni adjustable be ok with lower springs? I like the idea of thw TSW springs. And I have gotten lots of imput, but I think I want the car a bit lower. Something like the H&R's.

the Koni adjustables will be good....though you might want to look into H&R springs and a set of rear control arms to adjust the camber...especially if you dont have NeoGen tires or a tire that is designed for off camber set ups

Too many choices.. Yellow, the person you got your sway bar from uses TSW and said they are really nice. That with bars and he is still using the stock shocks. Makes me think if I should spend the 600 something on Koni's. Ir just get springs, bars, camber plates and use the 600 on something else... I just want the car lower to get rid of the dumb wheel gap, I want it to handle the very best it can with out going with coil overs..

if you lower it you will have to get rear control arms because your camber will be kicked out far enough that if you dont have a strong enuf side wall it will chew em up

I would get the arms also. All the cash I'm getting from the truck is just play cash for the mini. I just dont want to go blow a ton on parts that I dont like, dont perform well or that I will replace down the road.
