CD Content loading... Dialog won't go away

Anyone else with the NAV from '07 with dealer installed iPod adapter (non-usb) get a stuck "CD content loading.." dialog after turning the car on? The dialog normally goes away (takes longer on CD2 - CD5) after a bit. You can still switch between the other functions in the NAV, when you go back into entertainment keeps showing the dialog you see in the attached picture. It's been happening more frequently and it doesn't go away at all (even on a 45min drive), even after music starts playing from the iPod. It does it randomly and it has been more frequent. Pushing down on the joy stick dismiss it. Disconnecting the ipod and reconnecting it doesn't help, turning off the car and then on again doesn't help (i don't think the computer system turn off completely right away). I haven't had it happen twice in a row. You can get to the radio by pushing the button on the center console but no matter which CD# you try to choose it only shows the dialog but you will start hearing the correct music, just with the stuck dialog box. If no one else has had this problem I'm off to the dealer! :-)

Thanks.

Christopher

We have encountered that same issue, but disconnecting the ipod, turning off vehicle, and inserting key fob into ignition (we have convenience access) and restarting seems to stop it and intermittently it will reoccur.

See how many items you have in each of the 6 iPod menus that correspond to the 6CDs in the changer (playlists, artists, albums, etc). For the 07 there's a limit of 256 supposedly (but you'd know that already unless you recently added to the iPod's contents). I don't have the adapter myself but I'd imagine it could take awhile to load in all of the menu items. Maybe the thing just gets an error if it takes more than X amount of time?

Yeah it is annoying digi. Especially when it actually starts playing songs to taunt you and then the dialog doesn't go away and you can't change it! I havn't tried removing the iPod, turning the car off, and then putting the key in the slot. I have comfort access as well and have only put the key in the slot like one time since I've gotten the vehicle :-) Spoiled... I'm usually at the stop light turning my car off waiting turning it back on... people probly think I'm crazy. I think it's going to be a dealer issue if it keeps happening more often. Thanks everyone for responding
