Still looking for a solution

I am back guys! My mini still has the awful cluncking sound, along with many other noises from all the visits to the dealership. It is now for sale! If anyone has experienced the same cluncking sound and has been able to get rid of it (other than the persons that have already given me their solutions), please let me know!

Mine was the sway bar bushings up front, which apparently requires removal of the sub-frame. Sounds like you need a different dealer, road trip to the US perhaps?

The bushings were the first thing on the list, since it is a factory recall. I am already dealing with another dealer, let's see how it goes. Road trip would be fun. I have already talked to my dealer in Chicago and they told me that since the vehicle was not purchased in the States they would no be able to do all the repairs under warranty.

Man, that's a drag, well, I hope you get it all sorted out. A good or bad dealer can make all the difference!
Good luck to you!

Clunk sound

Is the clunk sound comming from the front? Had the same problem, ended up being the sway bar upper mount on the right side close to the shock. Took the tech's here in Albuquerque several tries to find it, Have them lift the car and wiggle the tires it will show up then.

As for the warrenty My dealer said they will have to call Mini and pass info that the vehicle is now in the US and then vehicle will then become US serviced. I have been looking it to taking my Mini to Great Briton as I plan to move there this year, The Dealer there will do the same thing for me to change it to GB serviced. Suggest you call the 1-800 number and talk to them directly to resolve the warrenty issues and call Sandia Mini and talk to the tech's about the clunk sound.

Thanks! I think that was the first thing that they checked. But I will do that test once again. I have a friend that owns a shop and I use his lift whenever I need to! Good luck in the old continent!
