OMG, I'm having a color seizure!!!

I have to go and order my MINI convertible today.. TODAY!!! I'm not waiting anymore!!

but what color???? ARGGGGHHH they all look soooooo good!!!! PW, sparkling silver, BRG, SILVER, ASTRO BLACK???

I am sooooooooo confused.. those damm dark colors, they look soooo nice but the upkeep? and the light colors don't pop out on you but look sooooo clean.. wheres my meds when i need them!

Well, here is my initial order.

2008 Cabrio MCS
Black top
LSD
harmon kardon
sport leatherette (still up to debate but most likely instead of leather)
Standard 16 inch wheels (i really like the design, V something they're called)
Chrome interior/exterior package
Chrono gauge package
standard HVAC
sport suspension (standard)
Body colored dash/door panels (only if i get PW)
HID headlights
Cold weather package ( does this work well with Leatherette?)
Front tower Brace ( JCW)
Clear Guard top and bottom

thats the gist of it..

Now color??

Since you seem to favor yellow smilies, I think you should go for Mellow Yellow.

You're welcome.

What is it about a Mini that people stress over the color choice?? I never had a problem choosing a color for a car until the Mini, so I understand your dilemma In the end, its a personal decision. Go with your gut and don't stress. All of the colors you are thinking about look great, so you can't lose.

The colour is just about all we have to discuss in speccing our MINIs.

We went for the dark blue to start with (it was Indi blue for number 1 and Lightning blue when Tristan replaced him). For Quentin I went for purple because it was sooo cool (that was more of a unilateral discision than usual).

The purple is a bit similar to the dark blue, and they don't do it any more, so this caused us a lot of thought for number 4.

We don't like the Yellows.
Cathy likes cool/laser/oxygen blue, but I don't. (I'm not fond of the light blues.)
We wanted something different from lightning blue
I realy like Sparkling Silver, but Cathy doesn't, too beige to her.
Pure Silver is a bit like every other car on the road.
British Racing Green hasn't appealed, but I'm sure they've redone it recently and it looks quite nice and sparkly in the sun.
Red is too common, and too much of a "ticket me red".
Pepper white and astro black were front runners.
Cathy really liked Dark Silver, its not my favorite colour but that's what we went for.

Its realy a personal descision, I'm not sure you can get much help asking anyone else.

Color is definitely a hard choice. Go with your gut. Whichever color you saw first and REALLY loved...... Ours have either been Red or Blue. We wanted something that would POP because every other car you see on the road is white, black, or silver. Not that there is anything wrong with that, but none of those were even in the running for us.

Red with red interior. I NEVER stop getting stares & positive comments. And Rich Lin (Octane Guy) helps me keep it looking deep red & uber-shiny!

That is funny!
PW was my second choice when I ordered my MINI. I decided it did not project the kind of class I was looking for. (Ordered royal metallic gray in 2006). I'd spend time at dealers looking at the colors. They appear differenly in person than they do on-line. I'd also look at them under different lighting conditions (times of day). When I was collecting mine, another guy was collecting his new PW. He stated he wished he'd gotten the same colour I had, but also told me he only looked on-line at the colours.

I really did like my Solid Gold 04 MC. I was a very unique MINI owner. It's sad it that I totalled it. But now I have a bright Chili Rd 06 MC

Have you considered this method of selection ...

Just add the rest of the MINI colors, close your eyes and ....

Dean.

I feel for you, I've been there and know exactly how you feel!! I solved my problem by ordering a GP. That way I had no choice .

I like red, when you live in a small town in Arkansas you don't have to worry about your Chili Red MINI being too common. Or yellow, Pepper White maybe.

I don't like the very common, sort of inoffensive to anyone colors that look like everything else on the road.

Im not sure which color to say to you, Buuut i will say this.
my first audi was black, my 2nd was yellow. my vw gti was black. now my MINI S is blue. so my next car would probly be black. hah.
i love black and very noticable flashy colors. buuut as you said both blacks were alllways getting dirty and didnt shine as much as the bright colors at all. my blue always shines and looks amazing. but black looks so fn good at night ; )

They're right - go with your gut. If your gut and your brain aren't working together, go with your first choice -- the VERY FIRST color instinct you had when you KNEW you were going to get one.

OR, just get one in every color. That's now going to be my life-goal.

I noticed that no one gave you an image to be able to decide from so I'm providing one of my Pure Silver Cabrio for you to checkout.
My first choice was Blue with with white bonnet stripes, white rims, white mirror caps and a black soft top.
My second choice was Red with black bonnet stripes and a black soft top.
And the choice that many are happy I didn't go with is Orange with a Green top and white bonnet stripes.
Oh! Did you remember that beyond body color you also have 3 different soft top colors to choose from and then theres also the rim colors?
