R56 vs JCW

So I been looking and of course wondering if the JCW kit is really worth it. I have a R56 S and I SO WISH for a comparison of these two cars in their factory settings...ON VIDEO. We always see MINI against Fiat or some other comparison. Does anyone know if they compared these similar vehicles on the track.... on tape?

From the dyno charts and some reports it seems that the Stage I JCW kit opens up the higher revs with a little more power there. If you like to rev it to redline, and want to maintain warranty, the kit seems like a good idea.

If you are racing, you've proably voided the warranty already. So, you could do something similar to the JCW kit with aftermarket items. They will probably let you take it further and for less $$. However, MINI felt that going with more power than the kit required an upgrade to the pistons, clutch, and transmission. Just something to consider.

no videos, sorry. However, I had a chance to drive an identical MCSa( same mileage ,same equipment) and my MCSa JCW back to back. There was no comparison.

I then (without saying a word as to my opinion) let my friend who provided the MCSa loaner to drive em both. He concurred, the JCW kit made a big difference.

He ordered the JCW kit for his MCS ( 6 sp manual) as soon as it was returned from service for a clutch repair.

OK, I'm confused. Clutch repair on an MCSa?
