Calling all 2007 MINI brand roof rack owners!

How on earth did you get those puppies on your roof even with the help of a friend? I ordered the base rack and I'm having a terrible time with the installation and the instructions aren't super helpful either.

I called the dealership for "help" and the guy told me it would cost $100+ to begin with and that it might take up to 3 hours to install the rack! What?! These are supposed to be non-invasive, and somewhat easy to install and remove right? (maybe he was thinking of the 1st gen racks?)

I'd appreciate any one else's comments and tips on this matter.

There's a really really good thread and a nice step by step instruction with pictures floating around here somewhere...I'll see if I can find it for you..
