The Ultimate Piece of Swag

Last summer I was contacted by Towne MINI to see if I would be interested in having my car used in a ad.

I spoke with the photographer and agreed to motor up to Rochester NY for the photo shoot.

These are the pictures from that day:

All cleaned up and ready.

The test shot and corrections. Even a MINI isn't perfect.

Getting ready

Lights!!

Camera. (BTW that camera costs twice as much as my car)

Action

ready for retouching.

The mockup of the ad.

Today I received a store display.
It is in two parts

A cardboard stand up display

and a 3d vacuum molded display

This is the display next to my car.

Not only do I now have a store display of a MINI but it is my MINI.

The contest will run through the summer look for my MINI in stores around the country.

Happy Motoring.
Jack

very cool. Is that you in the photo? The blond is attractive but her arms would kind of freak me out. I wonder if she has any long sleeve shirts and mittens.

Very cool !!!! The MINI looks great in those shots !

Arbor Mist sucks but a MINI Cooper on the display could almost make me buy it.

I was all ready to come in here and pummel you mercilessly for gratutious overstatement.

I stand corrected. Way too cool!

It's amazing what you can do with an airbrush. No antenna, no fog lights, and look how perfect the reflection is on the side of the car. I keep going up and down from the edit picture to the final product- wow!

That was one of the more interesting parts of being at the photo shoot.

There were over 200 pictures taken. Because the car and the camera were fixed in place the photo editor could cut bits from each picture to arrive at the desired look. This was also true for the models. If they liked the looks of one and not the other they just inserted the two best pictures together for the final product.

Thanks for all of the comments.

Now a question. There is a part off of the wife's Cooper S on my car.
What is it?

Happy Motoring,
Jack
