Thinking of ordering a Mini, and I like the looks of the S-Winder wheels on the car. However, the configurator will only give those as an option on an MCS, and I'm leaning towards an MC.

If I upgrade the MC to the Sport package, it gives me 2 choices for 16" wheels, neither of which are the S-Winder.

Can the dealer order things the configurator does not allow?

 

Check with them. My personal experience is that they may order you an extra set of wheels at their usual crazy inflated price, but won't do a swap. You're dealer may be more accommodating than mine though.

You'd probably do better checking the marketplace forum here on NAM for someone selling theirs.

I might be selling mine if I decide to buy a new set of aftermarket wheels for my summer tires rather than re-use the set I have from my current MINI.

 

nope, you cannot order a mc with sidewinders from the factory. As silver rocket said you can buy them direct from the dealer but they will be big bucks.

 

Look in the wheels section of the forum. I'll bet you can find some for sale that someone wants to upgrade from. Probably brand new. Then you can sell yours the same way or save them for winter tires if you live somewhere you need them.
