Portland Historic Races
It’s that time of year again! The 32nd annual Portland Historic Races are a Northwest tradition that offers fun for the entire family. This is THE track related event that PDX MINI participates in to the fullest. It’s a truly Portland institution, and this event allows us to have a really great time together!
It is a gathering of vintage and classic racing machinery from the 1950’s through the 1970’s, running wheel to wheel events in specific classes at Portland International Raceway. There’s plenty to do! You can watch the races, or walk through the collector car display area, where more than 700 collector cars and classics will be shown. You can hang out in the MINI corral and chat with the clan. You can even try your hand at the charity autocross.

SO WHERE DOES PDX MINI FIT IN?
Virtually all the Sports Car Clubs in Northwest Oregon gather their machinery in separate and adjoining “corrals.” This allows us to display our MINIs, promote our club, share war stories with people with our own motoring interests, and actually drive a speedy parade lap around PIR, both on Saturday and Sunday. As noted above... Again this year the event organizers are staging the Autocross. At $5.00 per run, it’s a great way to raise proceeds for the Children’s Cancer Association. Trophies will be awarded for the top three finishers overall, the fastest club, and the club with the highest donations. Please check the event website for the details.

ENTRY: By 10AM (cars should remain in the corral until 4PM both days)
COST: $50.00 (52.00 for Paypal users)*
includes corral pass,
2 entry tickets,
parade lap, commemorative grille badge

Your $50.00 entry fee includes a two day admission ticket for the driver and a guest, one car corral pass, a dash plaque, and the ever-popular parade laps. Additional guest passes are available for $25.00 for both days.

You may not be able to get into the corral at this late date. Go to www.pdxmini.org and send an email to the events coordinator about this and see if there are any tickets still available.
If not you can always just show up and pay your admission at the front gate and walk to the corral and hang out with the rest of us!

We do have a few extra tickets into the corral. E-mail us at Events at www.pdxmini.org and we'll see what we can do.
