MotorSwag Hiatus Announcement.
To all NAM members:
Effective May 1, 2008 MotorSwag.com is voluntarily suspending sponsorship/vendor status at North American Motoring for the next 4 months. Due to serious customer service issues in the past--some of which are still unresolved, I believe its best to take this action and spend the time retooling the site and operations.so that upon MotorSwag's return to NAM, customers can be assured of satisfaction when shopping the store. Soliciting new business here on NAM is not right until everything is tidy around here.
MotorSwag has never been my full time occupation and over the last year, I have not had the required time or resources to devote the necessary effort to the site and customer service has suffered leaving many dissatisfied and frustrated. For that I apologize. I am working to untangle those issues though the resolutions will most likely not appear on these boards.
The addition of numerous custom items have caused more problems then I had anticipated and fulfilling those orders have caused the majority of customer service. Similarly, some of the badge production has run aground due to the retirement of my original and most dependable printer. The reliability of successors to that printer has added to the problems as has my own lack of timely action to address those issues with the customer. The result has been a snowball in which about 20% of orders were affected. Still, more than 80% of MotorSwag orders have shipped without problems and the majority of my customers are happy.
Please take note that I am not suspending operations during this time and will continue to ship orders both new and older. All inquiries regarding orders and/or products should be addressed to motorswag@gmail.com
During this time of non-vendor status, you should not contact NAM, Mark Ferguson or NAM employees to resolve order issues. I am working on them and you'll be contacted via email regarding any missing items or unfulfilled orders.
For now, I'd like to thank you all for your kind patronage. Be assured that when MS reappears on NAM in the fall, we will be working to regain your trust and offer the best ideas and products for you and your MINI--like it was in our first few years. And yes, the full line of MINI PAJAMAS is in the works for this fall. Now that NAM is a corporate entity, I'm not sure what the advertising situation will be in September, but I'll cross that bridge at that time.
Again, I am not going out of business and your concerns-- if you have any--will be dealt with to your satisfaction by email. I'm just taking a break from NAM for awhile to get this shop in order. If you would like to be kept informed on our progress and future plans , please subscribe here to the mailing list and you'll be in the know.
