Going from cabrio to coupe... questions about cargo space + dash
I am seriously thinking of trading in my '06 MCSC for a new MCS or even MC. As much as I love it, I want something a little better for the environment and that has a more solid frame and a less jarring ride.
Anyway, I have 2 questions about the new new MINI. First, I am confused by the web site about the available cargo space. If I read it right (and I looked quite a few times) the convertible has MORE cargo space than the current coupe, with the rear seats up or down. This makes no sense. Can anyone shed some light on this?
Also, are any of the dash materials real metal now? I had read a few posts that seemed to indicate some of the new dash materials were real metal, but a month or so ago my salesperson said none of them were. But he also went on to say that even regular BMWs didn't have any real metal dashses - and I know that is untrue since I had real brushed aluminum in my Z4. So can anyone clarify?
And if anyone wants to share experiences of moving from the cabrio to the coupe, I'd love to hear them.
Thanks!
Ron
