Yesterday I went to Best Buy with my $50.00 card (credit for buying the now "obsolete" HD DVD player - a great DVD player for me however).

I picked up the Sony Play Station3 "Gran Turismo 5 Prologue" and let me tell you, in high definition (1080P on a Sharp Aquos 1080P LCD) the MINI Cooper S has never looked better in a driving game/simulator. It and everything else is INcredible looking and I spent quite some time just admiring the '06 MCS in the six different colors in which it could be motored - as we all seem to do with our MINIs.

The tracks and scenery are fantastic, cinema-like, and I won three of the initial Class C races I drove in. This game will bring hours of enjoyment in a MINI Cooper S and many other hot vehicles - when I'm not happily motoring in my '05 MCS. :-)

Many thumbs up to the developers of Gran Turismo 5 - and this is only the "Prologue" to what should be an amazing full game that's released in 2009.

Great...that means I will now actually have to BUY a PS3.....

 

I bought mine originally for the blue-ray HD player. Works great. Of course, the kids want the games now....

$399 for a blue-ray DVD player. not bad at all!

 

I just got this game the other day, I am sure I raced one of NAMs Members in the MINI (Sidharta) they beat me because some one keept crashing into me sending me into the sand. pretty fun though. Anyone else here play online? list your name so I can lose to you also
