Had to see what all the fuss was about.

finally got off the fence and just bought a dark metallic silver MCS 2006 with Chili pack and pick it up next week.

Hopefully will be as excited as all of you folks seem to be to finally own one. I have had classic minis for many years so this should be fun.

I found only one strange thing, I have large feet 11.5inches and triple E width. Does anyone else find problems with the pedals? I.E. your foot hits the bars above the pedals?

cheers. Peter

Congrats! I'm sure you will like it, I just got mine a few days ago and I'm lovin' every minute of it.

I have kinda the same problem with the pedals. I keep hitting the brake when I step on the gas. I'm gonna remove the brake pedal and give it a few tweaks in a vice to inch it over to the left. I had a thread on it :here

Now if it would just stop raining so I could actually get some speed.....

I have heard the metal in the pedal mounts is the hardest metal in the car, I would think you would have to use heat (torch) to get any action, I dont think a vise will do it. Unless you have my vise, A HUGE one that must weight over 70lbs.

Let me know how you make out.

Cheers. Peter

I have size 11.5 feet, but not very wide. I had to adjust to the pedal being attached to the floor and not hanging like most cars. Try some different shoes. I had problems with my Miata and the width of my shoes. I ended up getting some Sketchers that were compact in width, but comfortable. Worth the $$.

From: Washington. No, the other one.
Go here:

The search function isn't perfect, but it does work.
Or to get really good results, do this:

someone pointed that out to me last week and I'm still grinning at the effectiveness of that approach...

congrats on the purchase, Peter................I too recently took the New MINI plunge in February getting a 2005 MC...........so far really like it.
This is a great site to learn the car and head off possible issues.
