Time from Distribution Center to Dealer

How long has it taken to get cars from the US distribution center to west coast dealers? I ordered one and it has sat at the distribuition center for 2 weeks. Is this normal?

I'll say that my experience wasn't like that. It took about a week to get from ship unloading to arrival at my dealer in Albuquerque. I've read about some pretty hefty vehicle repairs going on there at the VDC so hopefully that isn't what is going on with your vehicle. I've also read that they may wait for other Minis/Bimmers to arrive from other ships before they finally ship. There are several more explanations though.

I know all companies try to cover up repairs of in transit damage, but I would be a bit offended if they tried to cover it up. I've heard horror stories of people selling their cars and taking a hit on the value because some panels have been repainted unbeknownst to them.

Ours showed up at the dealer (Brecht in So Cal) about 4 days after the ship hit the port.

Mine arrived at the VDC on Monday and was a the Phoenix dealer on Thursday. BUT! I had nothing that was installed at the VDC.

Could also be waiting on other vehicles that are going to your dealer.

Also, are you going by the OL? Mine flipped to saying it was a the VDC the day after it was at the dealer.

Mine took eight days from arrival at port to delivery at the dealer. I wouldn't worry too much abou transit damage, as I would think the overwhealming majority of cars come through without a scratch. MINI is breaking records with their sales, I'm sure the VDC is very, very busy.
