Look for a recommendation for new seats

I need a little help finding a new set of seats. This past Friday I broke the passanger seat in my wifes MCS. Instead of purchasing a used seat to replace the broken one or a set of street/race seats, I am looking a recommendation on seats fitting a few basic criteria:

1.

How exactly did you break the seat?

That is pretty basic criteria
-What are you looking for in an aftermarket seat and how much do you intend to spend?
-How important are your seat mounted airbags to you?

Posted before I finished!

Uuhhhhh...broke the seat moving furniture. Really! You should have seen the look on the faces of the people coming out of Ikea as my wife and I loaded in a set of bookshelves which ran from the glove box to the boot. Priceless!!

Yes. I want aftermarket, she wants the old one replaced with the same or fixed. I am afraid she is going to win on this one as she didn't want me spending money for my GP but I did anyway. Now she complains since I broke her tailbone (don't ask) and the ride is too rough.

I am looking for something similar to the factory seats, yet comfortable enough for long trips, and not too expensive......or a direct replacement.

I am guessing your best bet is to buy a factory replacement. Good aftermarket seats CAN get expensive with brackets and everything (mine were around $3K for Sparco Modenas). I can't imagine repairing or replacing your oem seat would come even remotely close.

I'm not aware of any aftermarket seats that are offered as "Stock Replacements". Most of the seats you're going to find are going to be sport/racing buckets.

What exactly is "Broken"? The seat is pretty complicated and has a lot of separate pieces, why not just try to fix it?
