Hey all...

If, while obsessively scanning DIY places, plastics manufacturers or anyplace else for bitz to MOD with (I can't be the only one), you happened to run across a plave that carried BLACK PLASTIC "L"-BEAM MATERIAL, can you please, please PM me or post in here?

FYI - Another NAM member turned me onto a place that carried exactly what I needed, so I KNOW it exists, but then my PC crashed and I had to wipe the HDD, obliterating my bookmark. Now the other NAM member can't remember where he told me to look either - gah!! Searching for "plastic L-beam" and variations gets me places that sell it in white (sometimes) but usually in vast, builder-quantity bulk, and I only need about 20 liner feat of the stuff, tops. I've seen it in metal, but metal is heavy - heavier than I can use in my application. Needs to be plastic.

The ideal material would come in lengths up to 6' long (longer is OK - I'll just cut it), and the two "arms" of the "L" shape would be approx. 1" each. I'd perfer to just start with black rather than paint it, since wqhere I mean to use it will likely take a lot of abuse (rocks, etc.).

FYI - I need the material to visually stealth some glow I'm adding to my car - I know the first reply would have been "what arte you using it for?" if I hadn't said, so there.

Yeah - they have white only there from what I could find. I actually started there when I began my quest months ago... I'll do painted white if I HAVE to, but I'd prefer to just start with black if I can.

So are you back to modding your MINI or still on the Mini?

 

Hmmm... that gray is darker than I remember - I might have to contact them for a sample. Thanks man!!
