Do I need sport suspension??

I'm still hunting down a MINI to purchase, but was curious to know....If I plan on upgrading the suspension to the Eibach Pro-Street kit, do I really need to find a MINI with the stock Sport suspension? What else comes as part of the sport suspension?

TIA!
andy

If you plan to upgrade then there is no need for the sport suspension.

If you mean the Pro-Street Coilover Kit-

When checking with tirerack.com I do not see a match for your MINI and the Pro-street Kit. I see it listed for the MINI at other vendors. You might want to check.

Coilovers replace both springs and shocks so any sport suspension upgrade offered for the base cooper will be replaced except for a slightly stiffer rear swaybar but you can always replace that on your own with a 19mm bar with adjustable holes. Stock MCS and sport suspenion rear bar is 17mm.

Sport suspension is rare and not easy to find in resale base Coopers, not really even worth looking for unless you want to keep it stock and drive in autocross for H-stock class competition.

IIRC, the sport suspension added nicely bolstered sport seats
