Are my seats working correctly?

I just picked up an 05 MCS and was just wondering if my seats are working correctly. When I let someone in the back of the passenger side, when the seat back returns to upright, the seat stops there and I need to readjust it for more legroom. The driver side seat does not move at all when I put the back up, so no one could actually get back there if they tried, is this normal?

I think it's a practice thing. The longer I owned the MINI the better I got at returning the seat to the original position. Has to do with how far back you push the entire seat before returning the back to vertical. Sometimes my passenger side seat sticks too which is a pain.

I can't seem to get the front seat to move at all. I actually don't mind, I never really have people in the back and it won't mess up my adjustment, just wondering if I should get it looked at while it's still under warranty.

I'd get it looked at under warranty and buy a rear seat delete

Without sounding mean, you are using the inner lever at the front to adjust backward and forward, right? The outer lever pumps the seat up and down.

If you already know the levers, then I'd have it looked at under warranty while you have the chance. My warranty is long gone so I tend to live with things or figure out how to repair them myself.

Push the seat..rolling on the track all the way back BEFORE pushing the seat back up. It should always return to the start location.

Eric's got the reset instructions down toward the end. Who knows? It might work.
