Rainsensor?

Hi all, I recently got a MC40 (last week) and already have a 12" crack and 3 knicks in my windshield. I am getting it replaced and need to know if I have a rain sensor. I havent had a chance to test out my wipers yet so was wondering if this is something that came standard with my model?

Look below your rear view mirror. If there is a black box, than you have the rain sensor.

I don't believe the MC40 came with the rain sensing wipers.

Visually, you can check for the big tinted square in front of the rear view mirror. Alternatively, if you click the wiper stalk up one notch, with the autowipers it should cycle once then stop. IIRC, on non auto-sense cars one notch will get you to intermittent, which will cycle every X seconds.

A real easy way to find out and be 100% sure is go outside and turn your wipers on (click the wiper stalk up one notch) aka rain sensing wipers and spray a hose on the windshield.
Watch your wipers go.....or not go. The more you spray the more they go.
