Passenger seat glide issue

My passenger seat glides forward on the rails when you push the button that brings the seatback forward. But you cannot adjust the seat fore/aft once seated. The handle seems to semi operate normally (the one under your right thigh) but the seat will not glide.

I'll check out mechanical issues but what are the common things I should look for? Sounds like a cable could be broken?

I had the same problem last week. After 2 hours of cursing, drilling and beating, I was able to remove the passenger side seat track. Since the 4 bolts that hold it down are only accessible when the tracks can slide, I had to drill the back of the release latch screws to remove it. It seems the latch is very heavy duty and if one of the latches teeth do not disengage, you are screwed! Thats what happened to mine, one of the big teeth (actually looks like a tooth) that engage the track would not come up with the rest of them and it the seat was stuck in the all the way forward position. My warranty is out and the dealer acted like it was a common problem as coins and trash get stuck in the track. Mine did not have any coins or trash in it, it just malfunctioned!
No fun and $200 bucks with tax at the dealer for the new ones!
