Replacing HK Head Unit

I have an 05 MCS with H/K, mfsw and the factory iPod integration. I am not really happy with the limited functionality of the factory iPod adapter. I would like to see the songs on the screen and be able to control the ipod from the stereo and the ipod. I have the iPod Touch, so it would be nice to hear audio from videos as well. So, I am debating on whether to get the DICE adapter or get a new head unit. If I got a new headunit, I would look for one with built in ipod integration and bluetooth, but would still want to be able to control it with the steering wheel (at least the volume and up/down).

I was looking at crutchfield and the only wiring harness they sell is a bypass harness, which would require running wires directly to all speakers, bypassing the h/k amp. I do not want to do this. I know that newministuff.com sells the adapters I need, just not sure what ones I need to get. I have read many posts and am still a bit confused. Could I get some help please?

The enabler that you need is this...

http://www.newministuff.com/new/shop...uctshow&id=116

The mode adjust model lets you select the different pre-selects like electronic, H/K, etc...

If you have questions, you might want to send Mikey an e-mail.

Do you have OEM NAV?

Us nav owners can use the Intravee which is why I asked. That being said, it is of no use to you. Mikey is the way to go if you want to swap the HU.

I would get the DICE and keep the HK. If you are happy with the HK's performance, just keep things simple and get a good iPod adapter. If you are looking to add BlueTooth as well, newministuff.com also has a good kit that works with HK and the MFSW buttons.

Yeah, with the value of the USD, the newmini stuff is a bit pricey. I am happy with the HK, just want better iPod integration. So, I will most likely get Dice and a Kuda bracket for my iPod Touch. But, thanks for the headsup on the bluetooth, as I did want to add that. It would be a plus if I could use my MFSW buttons
