I have a 05 S w/ almost 21K miles. When the car is cold, I release the clutch, I hear a sound that is hard to describe kinda like a rubbing, medium pitch sqeaky noise. Any ideas? Still in warranty w/ maintenance extended??

 

I had the same thing happen twice in about the first year. I have an 06. Prestige Mini in NJ replaced the clutch assemble both times. I have to look at the reciept to see what they exactly did. I have posted on this problem previously. I got the noise when it was cold going in reverse and first gear, very annoying.

 

From what I have heard it is the result of oil leaking onto the clutch plates, it is nothing to worry about (apparently), it is just annoying. Mine does this as well, which might be worth mentioning...
