R50/53 Use S bonnet on non-S?
Use S bonnet on non-S?
I currently have a R50 with some hood damage. I also have the m7 strut tower brace but am currently only using the shock tower reinforcement portion. To kill to birds with one stone I am considering the idea of having an S bonnet replace my regular one since it looks nicer and would fit the m7 strut tower brace.
Will this idea work? Where is the best place to find an s-hood? And how much should I be expecting to pay for a hood and paint job?
Thanks

Yes it will work. If the "S" bonnet has the padding you will still need to do the soak and slam to fit the STB. I have been running an "S" bonnet with no neg issues.
You can get a OEM "S" bonnet from a dealer for less then $500 and shop around for the paint job, could be another $150. Any two guys with avg tools and skills can change out the bonnets.
