LOOK HERE to see what you can win at the Brew Swap
As most of you are aware, we turned the Brew Swap into a charity event this year. In order to spur that along, and get you all in the spirit of donating, we've come up with a very nice prize for the single person that either collects the most donations and/or donates the most out of their own pocket (with qualifier, read on).
So here's the deal, say from now until the Brew Swap you go around to your friends and family and let them know what we're doing. "Hey, we're helping kids learn to read. You want kids to be able to read right?" So they write a check for $2, $5, $10, whatever, to the Boys & Girls Club of the Trident Area...BGCTA for short. They can then claim this as a tax deduction next tax season. We'll ensure that the donation is funneled to the Reading SoulMates Program.
Now, if you can collect at least $250 in donations, or if you donate at least that much yourself, you become eligible to win a Sony PlayStation 3! The person who donates the most above $250 will win the PS3 so it pays for you not to stop trying just because you crossed the $250 mark. There will only be ONE PlaySation 3 given away so collect as much as you can to ensure you walk away with it.
It gets better, let's say you are a master at collecting donations, or you have serious cash to blow, and you are able to raise/donate over $1,000...if you cross the $1,000 mark you now have a choice if you're the top donor. You can either take the PS3 or an LG 32" LCD HDTV!!!!!!!!!
(Model TBD)
There you have it. Collect over $250 and you could win a PS3. Collect over $1,000 and you could have a freaking sweet TV. Remember, the prize goes to the person who collects/donates the largest amount for the charity.
The PS3/TV are generously being donated by CustomAV & his company Custom Home Sound. He's a fabulous human being for helping us out like this and with any luck you'll match his generosity with your donations.
If you have ANY questions about how to collect, what to do with your collections, how to donate yourself, etc...EMAIL ME and I will fill you in. The staffers at the Brew Swap will also have the details so you can ask then.
We may add another prize or to so be sure to check this and/or the Brew Swap thread every so often.
Checks are always the preferred method as it is safest AND is evidence for the donors of their contrubutions come tax season.
Thank you all in advance for contributing to this wonderful charity and for making the Brew Swap even better than it already is.
