Hi,

Here's the deal, my credit union is offering $1000 cash for loans closed by the end of July. I am already approved for the loan, the just need the dealer to fax them the purchase order, to close the loan. My MINI was built Monday, and is scheduled to arrive in Charleston on 7/30. I put a call in to my dealer and awaiting my salesman to call me.
What I am trying to find out is if I can close this loan before the car reaches the dealer, and use the $$ towards some wheels, without involving the wifey !!!

Now I realize it might not be very smart to close on the car sight unseen, but this will be the path of least resistance to some nice shoes for my new baby !!!
Does anybody know if this is possible, to close the loan, prior to actual delivery ???

Thanks in advance.

My hope is fading fast, since no one replied, that would mean no one has ever, or ever wanted to, do this ?

Why don't you just give the dealer a call? They may work something out with you.

Thanks,

I called the dealer first, still waiting for them to return my call. Patience is something I need to work on. I was hoping someone her may know or have done something similar, apparently not.

Gotcha! I definitely understand the patience thing. Waiting is frustrating!

gmac, I did it on my mcs loan. I was going to be out of town on the week my car came in and wanted it as soon as I returned ( I also didn't want the dealer to sell the car on me while I was gone )

Shouldn't be a problem.
