This is partially an attempt to clean up all the sticky posts in MINI Talk, and also to clarify some issues related to the forum.
I will address several points in this post

THE SITE GUIDELINES
the full site guidelines are available for you to read. I would like to highlight a couple of areas that we as moderators have had to handle with increasing frequency of late.
MINI Talk is not a dumping ground. Here is the intent of each forum:
Beneath the Bonnet - this is the forum to post your problems with the OEM parts and systems that came with your car. It is *not* limited to engine issues, although there are a couple of significant discussions running in the forum related to those - the engine stumble and coolant.
Performance Mods - this is the forum to post about aftermarket upgrades to your MINI's suspension, brakes, engine/ecu/intake/exhaust, etc.
Interior and Exterior Mods - Things like roof flags, bonnet stripes, and seat covers. NOTE: do NOT post about wheels or audio, we have specialized forums for those.
Tire and Wheel Forum - the Tire Rack has been very active in this forum and it's a real resource for anyone looking for new wheels or tires. Please post those issues in this forum.
If you post doesn't fit into any of the specialize categories (and that is not a complete list) only then does it belong in MINI Talk.
Signature size seems to be escallating on the forum. Please be considerate to others an keep your signature size reasonable.
