Hey guys,

So as per title, the car just ran into a bunch of issues. The power steering is acting wonky (experiencing on/off behavior), sill rust, windows are acting funny (falling out of time rolling up/down), and shifter rattle.

Now I just spoke with the dealership to make an appointment to get stuff done. But when I went and told them the issues, the service adviser (I think, since the service manager I used to deal with moved to a bmw dealership) told me that that the rust, window and shifter issues weren't covered by the warranty since it's considered wear and tear.

now, i know for a fact that the sill rust issue is in fact covered, since i just printed out the TSB. but what about the windows and the shifter rattle? are there TSBs for the other issues as well?

I live in Canada by the way, just in case there may be some warranty differences i'm not aware of.

i'm not sure about the shifter rattle but aren't windows supposed to be covered also by the warranty? I saw couple posts of others members who claim they got their windows fixed under warranty

 

Yes window issues that involve regulators and motors are covered, at least here in the US. Maybe it's different up der in Canada but I wouldnt think so. Call MINI Canada for the final word.
