On my way to the dealer today...
I brought my car in today to have the cracked windshield replaced, on the way there my tire monitor goes off, how convenient, because it turns out I had a nail in the tire, so my tire warranty covers that one for me
but what a major PIA to have to deal with my insurance on the windshield, long story short, in order to have Rasmussen replace it for me, I had to get a quote from a glass company off of the approved insurance glass repair list and then I get to pay the price difference based on the dealership being more money...oh well. I'm out about 50 buck on this one, but I would rather have the dealer do it for me.

I've got news for you...the dealer probably won't be replacing your windshield. They more than likely farm the work out to a local glass company. If the dealer is having it done for you, make sure the replacement glass is OEM (does it say MINI?).
