Hi all,
I am in need of new outer CV joints and am wondering if anyone has found a source for aftermarket joints, or whether BMW remains the $ole option.

Also, has anyone tried the rebuilt $165 halfshafts on eBay? If so, what experiences have you had?
I am a bit reluctant to go this route, since most of the reman'd units do not replace the outer CV, rather, they clean up the races without rehardening and throw in new *****, so they tend to have a short service life.

Any input would be appreciated.

Good question, Steve.

My MCS is still under warranty, otherwise, I would have been staring at $600 to replace an outer CV which I had discovered was throwing grease from the boot. Interestingly, the dealership attempted to repair (replace the boot maybe?) but gave up and ordered in the new half shaft.
