Will the heating element do anything to clear dew from the mirrors?

I don't live in an ice and snow climate but many mornings my mirrors are covered with dew that either gets wiped or stays on for about 5 minutes.

Can't answer the question directly as I'm unsure. But I can say that I have the heated mirrors and have never once seen dew on them while driving. That's through a range of temperatures from 7F-80+.
