I had a very exciting day! I ordered my Chili Red / White MCS "Madeline" at the San Antonio MINI Center. The dealership opened in March. and I am the very first person to get the Aero Kit from them. I was shocked.

I didn't order any packages, I pieced what options I wanted from each of the packages. I didn't upgrade the sterio and I didn't take leather seats. He smiled at the white 16" wheels and white bonnet stripes. I think it was a pretty calm boring Chili Red MINI right up to when I said "Union Jack and Aero Kit". It caused quite a stir. Everyone was excited.

He said the new things for 2004 are : New 3 spoke steering wheel, AC outlet in the Boot and the MCS available in Pepper White color

Well, Madeline should be here in November ! !

How's San Antonio these days ?? I spent 3 years at Randolph Air Force Base during the mid '70s. The River Walk was just starting to catch on and we really enjoyed the Hill country north towards New Braunfels and Austin.
Have a lot of fond memories of San Antone !!

My congratulations! Great combo - and you will be unique with the aero here in Austin. The famious chefrichie's Burnie (see the April Club posts) is a lot like yours and looks great. I'm the Yellow/White MCS you see motoring around town. I just had some secret upgrades and she really goes now.

We exchanged messages many months ago when I was ready to order and you were thinking. Several of us get together at Starbucks from time to time to swap stories and hints - PM me if you are interested.

 

That should look good, like it does in that pic you like. The aero kit really does do a lot for the car, particularly the grille, even though it has that black honeycomb anycar mesh in place of the regular upper grille slats. I might crack and request an aero kit sometime before or upon the arrival of my MCS, after having deleted it from the order to save the $2500.

My friend, that just doesn't sound right. They must have very small allocations each month and a very long list such that they can't fill all the orders in a month.

James, I'd love to meet you at Starbucks. I've never seen a yellow/white MINI in Austin, when I do, I'll know it's you!!!

Ron R, You were at Randolph when my brother first signed up. He started at Randolph in 1976 then went to 3 other places and returned there. He retired from Randolph and moved to Schertz. He's still there! It is a great place! If I didn't live in Austin, I'd live in Schertz or Universal City!

My neighbor just came over, wants to hear about my order! She wants to run to the store and get some beer... Yea, it's been very hot here today!
