New Mini Fan

Howdy ya'll,
Just wanted to put my first post up. I have been debating the purchase of a Cooper-S for a while now, and thought I would gather some info from this site. And what a site it is! I currently drive an SVT Focus and I'm absolutely sick of the thing. This was the first American car I owned, and it will be the last. Don't get me wrong, I love my country, but they can't make a car (not one that's worth a darn anyway). I've recently moved to the Kansas City area and hope to do some auto-x'ing next spring, so the Mini is high on my list of candidates. The others include the Audi A3, WRX, and maybe the new Volvo C30, but I don't like to buy 'new' cars. If anyone has any advice when shopping for a used SCoop let me know. Thanks! -J

Welcome to NAM!! Look for a 05 or 06 MCS. They are fast and great handling cars but if you want more, there are tons of ways to mod them.
Do some searching on this site and you'll get lots of ideas on where you can go to upgrade your car.

Thanks SilverBullit! I spotted an 05 for sale locally, and if I can dig myself out of this ice-storm I'll go take a look.
