Years ago, in a pickup truck, mind you, I came across some great little twisties in the Hocking Hills near Logan, Ohio. Needless to say, they weren't all that fun in a Nissan pickup, but today, I remembered how much I wanted a little go-kart that day.

SO off we went...

A little rain, a few clouds, and they were gone by the time we started our tour through Hocking Hills. Logan is about 45 miles southwest of Columbus Ohio (my home). Just west of Logan are some little 2 lanes that wind around some fun little trailheads like Old Man's Cave and Cantwell Cliffs. I've been trailwalking down there several times. But today - all about driving. Routes 180, 374, and 664.

35 miles of twisty twisties, usually free of slower traffic, and mostly with 55mph signs all the way. Buicks do 30, Hondas - maybe 45. Me? Smiling! This little car paid for itself today with the size of the grin on my face as I squealed through these hilly, curvy roads. Great day. Great car. Great roads. What more could you ask? Here's where I went (green line). Notice all the twisties!

Gorgeous car jigster!! That was my initial color choice when I first saw the Mini. But I decided that a 46 year old pudgy man would probably look better in a more sedate
color. HAHAHA.

I have had my Mini for two weeks now and the enjoyment of driving has returned. I owned an MG Midget for 10 years and would just spend an afternoon driving the backroads where I live. We had a party today and the cars had to be moved out of the garage to make room for a BBQ. After all the guests left, I had to move the Mini back into the garage. Well, the 15 foot move turned into a 10 mile drive thru the back roads of my little town. My wife asked me were I had gone. ( Nowhere dear ). I can't stop driving this car. !000 miles in two weeks.

Bye. Jim
