I had to share this. A week ago tomorrow morning, the news was reporting that the 401 (major Ontario, Canada highway) was shut-down eastbound between London and Toronto. A car caught fire.
I found out today that my colleague's husband drives a car-hauler, and that his company was delivering a load including a MINI. There was some kind of electrical short and it caught fire. To make this an even sadder story, my colleague seemed to know through her husband that the car was 45 minutes from delivery, and that the new owner was there waiting! Apparently, he went and looked at the "remains" the next day in a compound. She said he was told it would be months for him to wait for a new one.
Anyone else know more about this?
I have no idea if he frequents NAM or not. If you do, my condolences...
