Note change in starting location!

The SCMC will take a scenic drive on Saturday November 17, through the Mohave National Preserve to an old section of Route 66 that passes through Amboy, California. We are changing the starting location to Desert MINI, at 2333 South Decatur Blvd at 8:00 am. Park in the large lot to the north of the dealership, and come on over to the MINI showroom for coffee before we head out for the run. 8 cars and 16 members and friends of the Sin City MINI Club braved the long drive through the harsh desert to Amboy, California.

After fueling up on coffee and donuts at Desert MINI (thanks, Donovan), the first stop was the HQ of the Mojave National Preserve in Kelso, CA.



Next stop was lunch at Ludlow California on Route 66:






Then it was on to Amboy, the inspiration for the town of Radiator Spring in the movie "Cars":
