So I just came back from walking my dog and my neighbor, a Lexus mechanic, is selling some Michelin Energy MXV4 Plus' 205/55/16. I was looking for some new tires for my 2004 MC on my new 16" wheels. The tires he has are used. Two look like they are in great shape and the other two have some wear. He only wants 80 bucks for them all....he said he might even give me a good neighbor discount. I was looking originally looking for 205/50/16's Falken Ziex 912's. I drive a lot of miles and need tires that will take highway miles and not so much performance stuff. (Although I can't say I don't like to take corners and the canyons once in awhile.)

Any suggestions from my MINI friends that know tires more than I? The deals seems hard to pass up but then again I don't know tires.

 

Depends on the wear, the price is right. How long have they been stored (are the hard), any cracks showing in the sidewalls, if so stay away.

I just ordered new wheels and tires, I went with the 912s since we get a fair amount of snow in the Denver area. Edge Racing has the 912s, they are in Florida.
