High Mileage MINI S

Hello, I am looking into purchasing a MCS. I have found a couple which I am considering. One has 68k miles and the other has 40k miles. I am going to contact the mini dealership and give the VIN to see if it has been in to see them for routine matintenance and or any problems.

Would you be afraid to purchase a mcs with this many miles? Should I expect to be replacing the clutch, etc anytime soon after purchase?

Thanks!

What year MCS, the 2002 seemed to have more problems. The Clutch depends on how it was driven and could be expensive. Consider paying a Mechanic, (Mini dealer if possible) to look at the car(s) before buying.

I think clutch/flywheel replacement runs around $1400. I have already gotten mine hot once. I have 14K on my 06, and except for a dealer mistake the car has been great. Really fun to drive.
