R50/53 Brake Pads
Brake Pads
I will be coming up on brake pad replacement time. I drive spirited and autocross. I was wondering if ceramic pads are high performance enough for my needs. Has anyone had experiance with ceramic pads?I really like the part about less brake dust...

Do search on EBC Green Stuff pads. I've used them in a couple cars and really liked them.
One thing to remember is if you use ultra high performance pads you may have some issues on the street until the pads come up to temp every day. I had some pimpin pads on one of my cars and it felt like I could'nt stop for the first three or fours stop signs. I ended up swapping them out for EBC blacks.

I really like my Hawk ceramics. I drive uber spirited and lots of twisties (including the Dragon) - but no autocross or track. Plenty of bite and no fade at all on the Dragon earlier this year... Just added SS lines and bronze bushings and it's even better... and very low dust that is EASY to clean.
Maybe not as much bite as OEM - hard to say - but close enough for me. And no fade yet...

I like my Hawk HPS pads, they are not ceramic though. They are low dusting & only put out as much brake dust in a week as the OEM pads do in a day. I only drive spiritedly though, not autocross
