Video from my very first drag race. Just wanted to share. It was a very short track 330'. Still fun, and interesting to see how i match up against other street cars. I only got to run 2 time trials, the rest of the night was bracket racing, which i dislike very much.

Lighting up the tires in the right lane with no traction was the Mustang, so even pulling a 2.4 60' time in the Mini will get the job done in that type of situation. Nice job of being the better driver, Snyper. A competent driver in a RWD pony car should be able to get 2.1 60' times on regular street tires just by launching off idle. So one shouldn't expect to repeat the results of the video on a regular basis.

 

oh yeah, I def. know that the driver was deciding factor in that. but i'll take a win however i can get it I'm just glad my r/t times werent too horrible, nor did i redlight. I had to hold the ebrake everytime though because i kept rolling out of the stage. Everyone i raced had and automatic. so they had it easy. I have another video from my 2nd run. I raced an SS silverado. i'll post that when i get home from work this evening if i can remember.
