195/65-15's on Holies?

Thinking about buying some 195/65-15 winter tires to mount on an extra set of Holies for winter use. By my calcs this size is all of 2% larger in diameter than the 195/55-16's that are currently on the car. Anybody see an issue with mounting this size on my '05 MCS?

Those will work fine. If I recall, my 15 inch steel rims are 6 inch wide, and the holies are 5.5 inch wide. That difference would be hardly noticeable appearance wise. I have posts showing what the tires look like somewhere.

Found it. The wheel gap is even all the way around the wheel, an important thing for me.

If you do the calculations, I think 195/60-15 most closely matches the diameter of the stock 15" setup for 195 tires.

I've got a stack of brand new 195/60-15 Hankook Winter iPike W409s (no studs) in my garage that will soon be mated to my stock 15" holies. Purchased them through Discount Tire Direct and was quite impressed with their service. Probably will switch over to the winter set around the Thanksgiving holiday, unless Ol' Man Winter make a surprise early appearance...

Agreed on the 195/60-15 size being optimal, but a certain tire store (initials TR) has a fabulous price on some Dunlop Winter Sport M3's in the slightly larger 195/65-15 size.
