Yalla Yalla '07, thank you organizers!

Great ride / activity, our 1st YY!!!! Thank you, each & everyone that helped plan / orgaize the fun day & motoring experience.

Must say, we discovered fun roads, things of interest w/ nice little towns less than an hour from home that I had previously only heard of. I'm sure we will visit again soon & their local eateries will appreciate the cheap marketing you provided them!

As one of the planners for this event I really think the bigger 'thanks' goes to all of you who participated. Without you guys coming out in the weather all of our planning would have been for naught. So thank you, to all who stuck it out and made this event great!

It was a learning experience for all of us who planned; so you can expect things to go a little smoother in the future.

The planning commitee wanted to pass a request on to all of you who did participate as well. We've got a favor or two to ask. We're hoping that everyone had a good time and as such we're asking that you put into words a little something to sum up your day and inspire folks that missed out. If you'd be willing to contribute we'd be grateful.

The second part revolves around pictures that anyone might have taken yesterday. We're hoping that some of you can contribute pictures to this thread also; so if you have any favorites we'd love to see them.

Oh, and just to clear the air a little bit for you item scavenger hunters I thought I'd provide you some more info about the elusive male pinecone. You'll notice them in a cluster on the immediate left side of the page. If you read you'll probably note that even the author has a hard time using a differnt name for them.

Thanks again to all who participated and made YY07 great!

Dang! I missed it!

I was involved with the organization of the first one and have participated in everyone since then. Now, due to being in the middle of a house move, I've missed the '07 Yalla Yalla. Grrrrr.....

Looking forward to next year when Lily has her drivers license!

Cemetaries again? My wife is a real fan of old cemetaries. Any chance of getting the route instructions for those of us who couldn't make the ride? Please and pretty please???

First Yalla Yalla & I had a GREAT time!!!! I was so pleasantly surprised how many people showed up since it was so cold & rainy. That didn't put a damper what so ever on the day. We laughed, took photos & had a blast collecting all of the fun items on our scavenger hunt list!!!
I'm thinking that it would be really fun to have something like this on a small scale for MITM3!!!?? Too much fun to just have it once a year!!!
Thank you to Jacob, Mike, Rick, and all who made it possible!!
Like I mentioned, this was my first time doing the Yalla Yalla & I would highly reccomend others check it out next year (or if we do another sooner)!!!
I'll try & post pics as soon as I get someone to show me how to do it!!
F U N F U N F U N !!!!

Here is my sad Yalla Yalla experience. 10th & Sherman at 10:30 a.m. looked like this. I saw a parking spot and gave up on getting to Elitchs. There were cops driving on the sidewalks.
